Behind the Anemone Dress

Named after the namesake flower which is derived from the Greek meaning “windflower” symbolising anticipation and enjoyment.

The word Saree is believed to be derived from Sanskrit wording meaning a “strip of cloth” and known to originate in northwest India and hailed for its versatility and craftmanship.

This piece is designed to pay homage to Indian heritage, a labour of love, with hours spent perfecting the drape detail to perfectly contour and accentuate the body.

Intricate and intentionally placed ruching, which has become a signature of our work, completes the design to bring together a piece which is a fusion of the traditional and the modern.

Much like our inspiration for the design, we hope that this dress becomes an heirloom evening piece in your wardrobe.
